Research and re-branding
Feltonfleet is an established preparatory school with a nursery and pre prep, based in Cobham, Surrey. Established in 1902, the school sits amongst leafy woodlands and is conveniently situated near the M25 and M3. Boys and girls from 3-13 enjoy a fabulously well-supported education and progress to the UK's top senior schools.
Dowie conducted stakeholder research in February 2017 involving parents in all year groups, a cross section of staff from academic, catering and administrative roles.Pupils in Years 6-8 and Governors were also consulted.
The aim of the research was to understand:
entry drivers (ie which aspects of the school were the most effective in encouraging parents to make contact)
perception differences between parents of different aged children, staff, Governors and pupils
how the brand image is perceived by each stakeholder group. This involved a mix of quantitative and qualitative research, the latter with questions designed to explore the cognitive subconscious).
The outcome has helped shape a distinctive value proposition for the school, i.e. what makes the school different and what customers - and staff - recognise as its compelling offer.
