A little bit about us

Rob Dowie has worked in graphics from the start - from honours degree to Banks & Miles, Storehouse Design Group, Michael Peters Design Group and Corporate Design Consultant to George Wimpey, Which? and Consumers Association, Sonae Investimentos, Habitat/Mothercare Group, HM Prison Service and Anglian Water. He set up Dowie+Co in 1994.

"The purest and most impactful design solutions tend to be born from inductive rather than deductive thinking, but this vision is mere guesswork without fully understanding the nature of the client, which in turn requires their belief and commitment. In design, unlike art, creativity is merely a means to an end. Design is an investment in time and money by the client, and like all investments, good design should reap good returns. Effectiveness is the sole measure of success."

Miranda Henderson is ex IDC Publishing and Lonsdale Advertising. Having honed her advertising skills with american-based IT companies reaching into the UK market, Miranda worked on product advertising (St Ivel, Golden Wonder, Pot Noodles) before moving into quantifiable HR communications (Guinness, Sainsbury's, Fina PLC, Logica, Alfa Laval, Kimberley Clark).
